What happens when you only eat organic food?

Ever wondered how your body is impacted by eating non-organic food?

The Swedish Environmental Research Institute took a regular family and swapped their regular diet for a purely organic one, and the results are staggering.

The family of five had their urine tested at the start of the study, revealing that each of their bodies contained a number of pesticides. Their urine was taken daily during the study and by the end of the two weeks, the pesticides were almost completely eradicated from each person.

"When you hear this, you think about your children," Anette - the matriarch - said following the experiment.

"There were a whole number of chemicals removed from my kids’ bodies and I don’t want them back."

"I am so excited about sharing my philosophy on how I live and the power of strength.. I hope to be an inspiration to readers everywhere on how they can create their own true strength and beauty inside and out,” Kardashian said in a statement.

The book, scheduled for a November release, will focus on finding power from being strong rather than skinny.

"My fitness journey will be a life long journey," Kardashian wrote on Instagram earlier this year. "Fitness is not about being better than someone else… It's about being better than you used to be. I'm not where I want to be and who knows if I ever will be. But I am healthier than ever and due to my consistent workouts, I am slowly seeing results.

"About two years ago I decided to turn to fitness as a form of therapy and as a stress reliever," she revealed. "I started slow and eventually I started working out 4 to 5 days a week. We all have to start somewhere and doing something is better than nothing at all. Start small so you don't get discouraged and give up. Remember it is all about consistency. There are no quick fixes if you want long-term results."

That's a philosophy we can all get behind!

It's not often I love an advertising campaign deliberately aimed at women, but Nike absolutely nailed it with their Better For It campaign.

The most powerful spot details the inner thoughts of, let's be honest, all females, detailing all-too-familiar scenarios as they try yoga for the first time, run a marathon and end up in a group exercise class full of models. It's a subtle way to support women as they pursue their athletic journeys - but it's a message that cuts through and is sure to provide much needed motivation to females the world over. 

Luisa Omielan says what we're all thinking (or should be)

When UK comic Luisa Omielan launched a take down of the 'thigh gap' trend on Australian television, she probably didn't expect to be embraced as grandly as she has been.

Video of her spot went gangbusters, clocking up over nine million views on Facebook alone, making her the breakout star of the Melbourne International Comedy Festival and the unofficial poster child of positive body image.

“It’s indicative of how hungry we are for something positive rather than feeling crap about ourselves all the time,” Omielan told the Herald Sun earlier this month.

“I remember when someone first told me about a ‘thigh gap’. What a ridiculous thing to scrutinise. It’s like every year there’s a new fad on how to feel bad about yourself.”
